Welcome to Voxenor. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at voxenor.com and the Voxenor mobile applications for iOS and Android (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Voxenor helps people learn languages by reading books, looking up words, saving vocabulary, and (on supported platforms) related study tools. Features may differ between the website and mobile apps. Some features require an internet connection (for example, downloading books or requesting translations).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

3. Accounts

The mobile Apps may be used without creating an account. The website may offer optional accounts. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Do not share your account.

4. Your content & copyright

• You are solely responsible for files and text you import into Voxenor.
• You must have the legal right to use any material you upload or import.
• Public-domain works from Project Gutenberg are provided for convenience; Project Gutenberg terms and copyright status still apply.
• We do not claim ownership of your imported personal content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, infringing, harmful, or abusive content.
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data.
• Abuse translation, download, or other network features (scraping, overload, automated exploitation).
• Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the Service infrastructure except as allowed by law.
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law.

6. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third parties such as Project Gutenberg and translation/speech providers. Those services have their own terms and availability. We are not responsible for third-party outages or content accuracy of automated translations.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully.

8. Intellectual property

Voxenor branding, logos, and original software are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reuse our branding without permission.

9. Service availability & changes

We aim to keep Voxenor reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice when practical.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Apps at any time and clear local data or uninstall. Website account deletion is described in our Delete my data page.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Translations and language-learning results are tools, not professional advice, and may contain errors.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Voxenor and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the Service.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence provide otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
